ESG, or advertised single-pane safety glass is characterized by many
positive qualities. Consisting of a single pane, which is specially heat
treated, the glass is particularly shock and impact resistant. Even with
respect to large temperature differences the glass remains untouched. Of
course, it is also waterproof, heat resistant and scratch resistant.
Should it nevertheless break under extreme load, it will break up into
many very small parts without sharp edges. By minimizing the risk of injury,
this type of glass is also used in cars for side and rear windows. Another
advantage of "real" glass is that it is recyclable and therefore
sustainable.
